I wish. My wife’s mother passed away last week (not suddenly; she had ALS). Mrs. ttyymmnn flew on Monday, and I’m following with the boys today. We will all fly home together on Monday. We’ve got a couple of hours to layover, so me and the boys are going to explore the airport. Any good spots for plane spotting in from the terminal?

Very sorry to hear about your mother in law.

Go down to F concourse and there are some good spots. Go up by the Skyclub and as you are looking to the right there is a big window. If there is a plane there it is a good view. Grab an Orange Dream and maybe a shitty chili burger from the Varsity. The Dream is worth it.

DTW looks pretty much the same, it seems like Delta is the only carrier to use the main terminal.

That and the unmistakable ugly color of the terminal buildings. Hartsfield is not a pretty, nice or pretty nice place. But they sure can move some people through.
